When we were all growing up we all dreamed and spoke about times when we would be married and have kids. Although through-out our pregnancies there was always an element of uncertainty and perhaps fear things wouldn’t go to plan, most of us are fortunate enough that we don’t have to live with that reality.

However, our sister/closest friend has had to live with that reality for over four years now as her son, Ethan, was diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder at the age of three. Just knowing a snapshot of what herself and husband deals with on a daily basis gives us so much admiration for how strong, brave and resilient they both are. But it has also made us realise there is little support and funding available for what kids with Autism not only need but deserve.

Autism is a life-long developmental disability affecting people in different ways. From difficulties with speech development, understanding social interactions, repetitive behaviours & routines and difficulties in managing everyday sensory needs with over and/or under sensitivities towards sight, smell, taste, touch and sound. 

Therefore, a group of us are all running the 10k/Half Marathon on Sun 1st Oct to help raise funds to generate more awareness of the developmental condition that affects 1 in every 100th person in the UK! 

For something so close to our hearts if you could donate, regardless of how big or small, it would be really, greatly appreciated.
