Story
Money raised will help towards the following projects currently underway and due to commence over the remainder of 2017 and start of 2018;
- Wheel and Tyre filling materials (refurbished 2016, we would like to fill all main undercarriage wheels to stop the deterioration of the tyres)
- Elevon materials (metal sheeting, jointing compound, rivets etc)
- Undercarriage legs / bay refurbishment
- Paint (tail fin, top & bottom, undercarriage bays)
- Part Sourcing (Missing gauges, actuator seals etc)
As a charity, we rely heavily on volunteers donating valuable time to assist us in the upkeep of our exhibits, the Vulcan is just one of many aircraft currently on display and is possibly the largest restoration project our volunteers have undertaken. As funds are tight, we are in desperate need for this 'boost' to further our project at a faster pace.
You can find out more about joining as a volunteer by visiting our website; www.cnam.org.uk
All funds raised on this page will be used towards the upkeep of the Avro Vulcan (XM612) at the City of Norwich Aviation Museum, cheques made payable to the museum, can be sent to Old Norwich Road, Norwich, Norfolk, NR10 3JF

7 years agoThank you to all 29 supporters who've donated to us over the past two months. The museum has received £510.29 towards the restoration of the Vulcan. The team is currently trying to repair our ground power unit which may potentially need some of this vital funding so the aircraft can be kept live for years to come. Once again, on behalf of the City of Norwich Aviation Museum and the team working on Avro Vulcan XM612, Thank you!

7 years agoHi Guys! Thank you once again to everyone who's donated over the past 17 days! We've purchased some paint for the tail of 612 to continue our 'Fin Restoration' project - providing the weather is good, we hope to have one side (at least) completed this year.
