Story
As part of an Abaana youth team I will be going out to Uganda for just over two weeks in July, to help in the building of teachers quarters in Ayila Primary School, Gulu, Northern Uganda. And I would l love if you could be a part of it too!
Education is so important for the kids and future generations of Uganda. It gives them vital knowledge, that here in the UK we take for granted. It allows them to steer Uganda away from its history of violence. It gives them a voice and enables them to make a bigger impact to society. Education gets jobs in Uganda, and helps improve the lives of all living there.
I have already been out with the Bangor Grammar School team in 2015, so I have seen first hand the need for food, water, and education present in Uganda. But I have also seen the hope and happiness that their faith and Abaana’s work bring. I can’t wait to see that again, and I’d really appreciate it if you would be able donate towards the trip to allow this to happen. In 2015 I was building a school in CooRom Bangor Grammar. This time our youth team will be going out to build teachers quarters in Ayila Primary School, Gulu. This will allow teachers to stay at the school long term. This will also attract better qualified teachers from all over Northern Uganda to educate the kids of Ayila Primary School. In turn this will improve the education of the kids attending the school, and who know what they will be able to achieve with this higher level of education in the future!
All donations will go towards flights and living costs of myself in Uganda. This will let our team to go out and be a part of the building in Ayila, and be a part of the Street Reach programme providing food and water to the street kids in Kampala.
Education is an essential part of helping everyone in Uganda, and I am extremely grateful if you will be able to share, and donate towards this cause.

7 years agoHi everyone, Thanks for taking the time to check out this page. As mentioned in my Story I am raising money towards my trip to Uganda, and it would be great if you could share and donate towards this page. I will be doing a few events that require a bit more planning, one of which is a sponsored fast that I will be doing very soon. So keep a look out for that. Thanks again, and I will keep you updated!
