Anna-Rose is just 7 months old, born a seemingly healthy baby, things soon didn’t seem right. Anna learnt to smile but at 4 months old couldn’t hold her head.

Kay, Anna’s mother and a trained Early Years Practitioner started to become concerned. In the New Year of 2018 Anna was given the terminal diagnosis of Krabbe disease https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Krabbe_disease

Krabbe disease is an exceptionally rare genetic disease, where both the mother and father are carriers (but don’t know it). It is so rare that GPs often, as in Anna’s case, diagnose Cerebral Palsy. http://www.savebabiesuk.org/krabbe-disease.php

With this diagnosis, children often don't manage to celebrate their second birthday. Anna’s condition is deteriorating so very fast and as ex-colleagues and friends of Kay, Anna’s mother, we want to both raise awareness of the condition and also raise as much money, as quickly as we can, so that the Johnson-Folland family can have some family treats with Anna-Rose, so that memories can be made for a lifetime, for Anna’s family and 5 siblings.
