UPDATE for local people of cheltenham!
Hi everyone,
As lots of people are aware Jez and I have set out to create boxes for dads who have experienced baby loss. This is because dads are often so overlooked and can feel alone in their grief. We want them to feel less alone and know it’s ok to grieve too. We are doing all of this in memory of our three babies Jasper, Alfie and Nora who where stillborn over the past 2 years.
We are raising money to make as many boxes as we can. We have decided to have cake baking day! For each donation you will receive a box of four cakes, there will be a minimum donation of £5.00 for the cakes but we would like to raise as much money as we can. Our Baby Loss Boxes boxes cost us around £15 a box and we aim to send out as many as we can, as well as have them ready in Gloucester Royal Hospital, and eventually we hope to be able to offer them in more hospitals across the UK.
Included in your box will be four home made cakes containing a selection from the following:
A slice of Chocolate Cake , Biscoff Millionaires Shortbread , White Chocolate and Raspberry Blonde And a Smarties cookie
We will be delivering these around Cheltenham on Saturday 19th March 2022, so anyone who has donated between now the 19th February and Thursday 16th March will received a box! If you are outside of Cheltenham we would require you to collect if you would like to have a box/
Please leave your full name in the donation from box so we can contact you to get your delivery details! If you would like more than 4 cakes then please contact me directly and we will see what we can do.
Thank you all so much for your support🧡🧡🧡
As many people are aware Jez and I lost our son Jasper in April 2020 at 25 weeks, Nora in November 2020 at 24 weeks and Alfie in November 2021 at 21 weeks. This year Jez and I are setting out to help the babyloss community. We are starting with making boxes for dads who have experienced Babyloss. Throughout our losses we have realised that there isn't much out there for dads so when you come home without a baby a lot of the support is aimed at the mum, but dads are also grieving too. We want to create some boxes to include little bits that dads can have to have some self care and remember their baby So that they feel included too. We also want to sign post them to where they can get support. We would like to honour Jasper, Nora and Alfie by doing something incredibly important in their names We will also at some point like to do boxes for mums but to begin with we would like to start with the dad ones.
Thank you so much for what ever support you can give to us to help us created these boxes and we hope that this is just the start in us helping the babyloss community👼🏼👼🏼👼🏼
