Crowdfunding is a new type of fundraising where you can raise funds for your own personal cause, even if you're not a registered nonprofit.
The page owner is responsible for the distribution of funds raised.
We are a voluntary grassroots NGO based in the rural south –west coast of the Gambia, registered in Banjul as a charitable nonprofit making organization. Besides our many activities, our main work consist of the protection of the community protected areas including the Bolongfenyo community wildlife reserve which is one of the last remaining community reserves in the Gambia and imperative to the local biodiversity and climate change mitigation. But unfortunately, Bolongfenyo is threatened by various actors like illegal hunters, illegal tree cutting, man made bush fires and more. Every time one of these situations becomes reality, we need to be fast to get there and prevent the illegal actions. Right now, we are moving by few bicycles which even need to be repaired and we thus sometimes lose precious time. This is why we are trying to raise donations for a vehicle and new bikes, Monthly remuneration for the rangers or wardens at these protected areas under our protection and management. We are very thankful for every donation cash or in kind, which will help us to keep this beautiful reserve in Gunjur, the Gambia properly maintained.
