Story
The Bristol Ambient Ensemble - a constantly evolving improvisational group that performs ambient music – is teaming up with registered charity ‘Musicians without Borders’ to host an inspiring benefit concert, featuring visual art, poetry and dance, with all proceeds going to support MwB’s music programs around the world.
The event is just £5 on the door and will take place at 6:30pm, November the 25th at the Unitarian Chapel, Brunswick Square, St Pauls, Bristol, BS2 8PE.
Matthew Richards founded the Bristol Ambient Ensemble to celebrate the cities established experimental music scene, with monthly live performances designed to integrate a disparate collective of musicians and artists. It seemed natural that this newly formed community should work with a charity that uses music to facilitate positive changes around the world and here at home.
Musicians without Borders promotes access to music as a basic human right and a powerful tool for social change. The organization is a pioneer in applying the power of music to peacebuilding and reconciliation efforts across the globe. In the Balkans, the Middle East, Central East Africa, and across Europe, MwB's programs empower, bring hope and reconnect people where war has damaged and divided their communities.
