Christmas can be a very lonely time for some vulnerable and elderly people. Whilst many of us are out celebrating the festive season with friends and family, there are many out there who have nobody and sit alone, watching time tick by. No dinner. No presents. No-one to even wish them happy Christmas..

At Baildon Nibbles we want to help to stop this.

On Christmas Day we want to hire a venue, organise a pick up and drop off service, serve a lovely dinner, drinks, entertainment and give those who attend the opportunity to meet some others in the same boat, get in the festive season and bring a smile to their faces. Age UK state over 1 million elderly people in the UK are dreading Christmas due to the sad fact, loneliness kicks in more at this time of the year.

To help stop his, we need your help..

We understand many people are busy on this day but any help with the following would greatly appreciated to make this happen :

Volunteers (to help cook, serve), anyone with mini bus we could borrow or use for the collection and drop off, know of any venues, someone who'd like to help with promotion and advertisement (leaflets - creating and delivering)

And most importantly...

Donations.

This is not going to be free to run and at Baildon Nibbles we'll give as much as we can but unfortunately we don't have unlimited funds.. All of the above, as well as food, drinks, entertainment, materials, advertisement and much more all costs money.. we want to make this a year to remember for those who join us! So please help out and make someone's Christmas a great one..
