May Allah (SWT) help those who have fled and who are still on the move from Arakan, Burma and give them the strength to go through this trial time. Meanwhile, on an individual level we can pray for them and do anything and everything in our power to help them out.

UNHCR and other aid agencies and the Bangladesh government are trying to make things better. Those Rohingya refugees fleeing into Bangladesh are in need of urgent assistance including food, shelter, clothing & medical attention. UN Sec General said on 28th September at a session of the Sec Council, “The situation has spiralled into the “world’s fastest-developing refugee emergency and a humanitarian and human rights nightmare.”

ROHINGYA is a TEST for humanity. Words can’t describe the scene that have sprung up in Cox’s Bazar, along the Bangladesh-Myanmar border.

In Sha Allah, I will be going on the ground and will be working directly with established links and local charity. The journey and associated cost with an anonymous donation will be met by myself. Initially it was intention to keep this journey discreet but the dire situation has made to think widening this journey to ‘we’ not just ‘I’. Please donate generously whatever you wish.
