I was born in Kabul and grew up there. I came to the UK when I was 7yrs old. It is heartbreaking to watch the humanitarian crisis unfold in Afghanistan at the moment. Millions of people are fearing for the safety and wellbeing of themselves and their families.

It is unclear what will happen in the next few weeks in regards to the government. What is clear is that millions of Afghans will be displaced and be without basic human needs such as shelter, food and water.

All the money that is raised will be used to help these people. We have family members in Kabul at the moment that will be helping us coordinate and action this aid. The aim is to provide displaced families with food.

If there are any issues getting the funds over to family members who have agreed to help on the ground (i.e due to banks being closed) - all the money will be donated to a charity working in Afghanistan now.
