    Words from Bee:

As some of you are aware my younger brother Callum took his own life earlier this year, this has undoubtedly been the hardest thing my family and I have ever experienced. I cannot accept a world without him in it. Callum was the sweetest and most talented young man, if only he could have seen it for himself. Callum was my first friend in life, my partner in crime and I continue to be the proudest sister to my incredible brother. Callum and I are lucky enough to have the most loving parents who gave us every opportunity growing up and fought fiercely to help Callum with his Aspergers. They shouldn't have had to fight so hard to get Callum the support he needed; people should be more aware of Aspergers and the difficulties that it can bring in daily life. Dismissing the needs of an individual just because they appear 'normal' is unacceptable; Callum struggled and my parents sought support but found doors closed unless Callum asked himself. As part of Callum's Aspergers, he found it difficult to ask for help. My family have set up the Callum Wylie Foundation to support young people with Aspergers and their families in times of crisis. Further, the foundation seeks to raise awareness amongst the general public about Aspergers and how it affects young people.

Words from The Callum Wylie Foundation:

Callum, our beautiful 18 year old with Aspergers, took his own life as he couldn't find his place in the world. This young man was so talented in many ways, a musician, freestyle skier and mountain biker, he lived for the outdoors. Throughout his short life he struggled internally, eventually it became unbearable. He has left his family bereft with the small solace that he donated his organs, giving life to others.

As a family we are setting up a Foundation/Trust in Callum's name to raise awareness. The Foundation will give support, in times of crisis, to adolescents with Aspergers and high functioning autism, also importantly it will assist their families. This Foundation could help save a life like Callum's.

    Thank you,

    Kev, Charly & Bee

The Three Peaks - The Fundraiser

In memory of Callum, Bee and I will be attempting to complete the three peaks challenge together within the 24hr timescale. The attempt will begin on Tuesday 31st July 2018, starting at Ben Nevis. By starting at Ben Nevis, it allows us to finish our challenge at Snowdon close to Callum's home in Betws-Y-Coed. The Three Peaks is a massive challenge and will require a massive effort from both of us. Thanks in advance go to Kev who has agreed to be our designated driver for the challenge!

Thank you all for your support,

    Love, Bee & Gareth
