Many people will know that I put my heart, soul and every bit of my savings into making The Brea Inn a fabulous community pub. I made an impact on the village and the customers that supported me.

Unfortunately, a series of bad decisions meant my cashflow was struggling, but I was starting to build a great business and just about holding my own.

BUT the owners putting the premises on the market halfway through my tenancy, really pulled the rug from underneath me. It affected my business dreadfully, and only served to make my position untenable.

Despite all efforts, I have now lost everything. But to actually apply for bankruptcy, I have to pay a fee of £680 BEFORE I can submit the application.

I took a risk, and it didn't work out, I am now homeless and broke. But extremely proud of what I achieved in a short time, and of course, in hindsight, there are things I could have done differently.

If hindsight was foresight, we would all be living the dream!

If I thought I was wrong in trying, I wouldn't be holding my hat out for help. But, I truly believe it could have easily been so different. I have tried to raise the fee by selling what little I have, and not had much success so far. I would be happy for the situation to be different, but the reality is, I need to do this, so I can start to sleep at night, and concentrate on moving on

Please, if you can spare the price of what would have been a couple of pints, some wine or a meal in my pub, I would be very grateful.
