Hi all. I‘m Babs and have stage 4 incurable secondary triple negative breast cancer. I’m raising funds because the NHS are refusing to give me a test called the BRCA 1-2 test. This test is performed on people like myself who have triple negative cancer. The NHS are refusing to test me because this test is expensive and i have no family history of breast cancer in my family. (ITS ALL ABOUT MONEY WITH THE NHS) I have had chemotherapy three times so far and Radiotherapy but this has not cured my cancer. I have the right to life and if my family had a history of breast cancer they would happily test me but i am the only one who has cancer in my family. By getting this test done to see if I carry this faulty gene I can recieve different treatment to extend my life that I can’t have at the moment because of not knowing if I am BRCA 1-2 positive. It would also then enable my family to make vital decisions about their future and Protecting themelves against cancer. I know deep down that there is every possibility of me carrying this faulty gene and i want my family to avoid what I have had to go through for the last several yrs of my life.
