On the 9th of February 2018 our lives were turned upside down as our three year old daughter Annabel suddenly collapsed at Pre-school while she was dancing, thanks to the quick thinking staff CPR was started straight away.

CPR was performed for 20 mins until the emergency services took over. Annabel was then air lifted to Addenbrooke‘s Hospital where they worked on her tirelessly for over two hours, during which she received multiple shocks to keep her alive. Incredibly, they managed to stabilise her and she was then moved to intensive care and later that evening transferred via C.A.T.S to The Royal Brompton Hospital in London.

Annabel spent a total of six days in intensive care where she was diagnosed with a rare genetic heart condition called CPVT (Catecholaminergic Polymorphic Ventricular Tachycardia). Following this she spent a further month at the Royal Brompton where she also had a operation.

We cannot put into words our heartfelt gratitude to Shelley Symonds and Ness Hall. We know that their CPR saved Annabel's life.

"Thank you" will never be enough but we now have the opportunity to give something back to this incredible Pre-school and help raise as much money for them as much as possible.

Unfortunately, due to changes in government funding there has been a shortfall in their funds. The Pre-school needs to raise £1500 each term just in order to break even. To compensate for this, staff have taken a cut in hours and this has resulted in members of the team working voluntarily to ease the workload of other colleagues. This shows what a highly dedicated team they are, going above and beyond their duties on a regular basis. They are simply amazing!
