Story
Sunny Days Children's Fund is a charity that aims to support children under the age of 18 with a wide range of medical conditions. Its goal is to help children of all ages whether it be with a big or small gesture, and help make their lives that little bit better whilst they and their family face tough challenges and hard times.
The charity provides children and families with grants, medical equipment and other gifts that can help with the everyday life of living with a child with a medical condition or disability, and aim to help make both the child and families lives that little bit more enjoyable, whether it be a getaway for the whole family, a new garden swing for a little boy with limited mobility, or a laptop for a house bound teen to help with her education and socialising. Small things that we take for granted, but will make a big difference for these children.
So to help us raise as much as we can for this amazing charity, the Landlord and Head chef here at Boverton Castle Pub will be doing a sponsored leg press. Already a keen body builder, Mark will be looking to raise as much as possible AND set a new personal best by doing a 600kg (1322lbs) leg press - that's over half a ton!!
Due to the weight needed, the leg press will be taking place at Mark'a regular gym, with plenty of experienced trainers there to help. Taking place on Friday 2nd of June, the whole thing will be live streamed on the Boverton Castle Pub Facebook page, and we are also taking donations in the pub so we can smash our target and raise as much as we can for this great cause.
