So, I'd like to dress my entire family up as an elf and run around a shopping centre, to help raise money for children and young people, across Northumbria.

Victims First Northumbria are an amazing charity, offering support to victims of crime and domestic abuse across Northumbria. Sadly crime and abuse will affect many of us or someone we love, at some point in our lifetime. This includes children and young people; who deserve to be protected, cared for and given the best opportunity to recover from crime or abuse.

I am particularly passionate about raising awareness of the Victims First service and available support provision for young victims. Undertaking work with local schools would enable us to reach out to young people across Northumbria, educating them about the impact of crime and domestic abuse, and raising awareness of how they can access help and support. I would like to raise money to purchase resources, with the intention of further developing the schools project, making our sessions more fun, interactive and meaningful to this young audience. To raise money, I will be dressing my entire family up as elves to take part in the 1km Family Elf Run on Sunday 11th December at the Intu Metrocentre, Gateshead.

Santa needs our help and I'd very much appreciate yours, to help me help such important people in our local community. Thank you!
