Phaase is a small horse sanctuary that currently looks after 14 old, sick or neglected horses. It is run by Dee and a few volunteers who are dedicated to providing a natural, safe and happy final home for them.

My son & I have recently joined the team and are moved and inspired by the hard work and care that Phaase provides for these beautiful, intelligent and sensitive animals.

Phaase is run on a very tight budget and relies entirely on donations and goodwill. The vet bill currently stands at £850 and the winter will bring an additional hay bill with it. Many of the horses would be benefit from medicine for their aching joints but this is expensive!

Anyone who has experienced the company of horses knows the gentle, patient and willing service they give to humans. Despite sometimes neglectful or abusive relationships with us, they can survive suffering and in the right hands go on to enjoy a happy and natural future.
