Beechen Cliff runs 14 rugby teams across the school, including 1st, 2nd and 3rd XVs, A & B teams in all age groups and a 7s programme. This cost £1000s very year - transport, playing kit, equipment, medical supplies etc. But its worth every penny, because hundreds of boys proudly represent their school at rugby every week. At the top end, the school plays in the RFU's National AASE League - the highest standard of schoolboy rugby available - as well as playing all the traditional 1st XV fixtures. For a state school to play at this level is remarkable, but we rely heavily on fund-raising to make it all happen for the boys. You were once one of those boys; maybe now you can help give something back?
