Weʼve raised £325 to buy Kayleigh her FIRST BIRTHDAY BICYCLE :D

    Story

As many of you know, it's been a tough couple for years for Kayleigh. She's been doing so amazingly since the loss of her dad in 2015, but one thing that she's always talked about is how bad she is at celebrating her own birthday!

I know how many people know and appreciate all of the amazing work that she has done supporting people, in person (when she had more time to herself) and increasingly online (since she's been single-parenting Liam) and I thought that it would be a lovely idea to get together as a community to say a well deserved "HAPPY BIRTHDAY" to her, by pulling together and buying her very first bike... :O

THAT'S RIGHT - Kayleigh has never owned her own bike!

Kayleigh didn't learn to ride when she was young and although I have been teaching her to ride with bikes that live at my house, I know that Kayleigh wants a bike that she can call her own, to learn to ride on.

There are loads of great offers on brand new bikes from last years range - many of them priced around £250 - but the sales are only going on for a limited time, so I'm hoping that we can raise £300 which is the price of an entry level 2017 bike.

What I plan on doing is buying a voucher with the money we raise so that Kayleigh can go down to Evans or BikeUK and pick a bike out for herself. Hopefully she'll be able to get a bike from last years range for a bit cheaper and use the rest of the money to buy herself a lock and a seat for Liam (YAY!), and of course, the more that the we raise, the better bike that we'll be able to gift to her :D

So please, if you can chuck in a fiver/tenner to contribute to buying this wonderful person her very first bike, then please donate! I imagine that she will be so happy to know how much love and respect we have for her!

And I'll do my best to make sure that we have her and Liam on two-wheels by the end of the summer... think about how lovely it will be to see them peddling around Bristol together :)
