This is beautiful Belle. Belle is 9 years old and my friends daughter. On 9th August belle was diagnosed with osteosarcoma, which to me and you is cancer of the bone. Initially Belle needs min 30 weeks of intense chemo with an operation due at the end of November to remove part of the bone on her leg and to replace with metal. Meaning it'll change her life forever. She's going to need months of physio and will be in a wheelchair for quite some time and she will then need crutches to help her get about. Until Belle has another mri next month we won't know if the chemo has worked or how much of the tumour it's killed. UPDATE.. Belle had her surgery on Monday and now has a prosthetic implant. Belle and her family are still in Birmingham hospital and Belle is having physio everyday to help her walk again. Another 36 weeks of chemo starts on Monday 18th December.
