Hi, my name is Ben Collington-Mears and I am 12 years old. I belong to Olga gymnastics club in Poole and my speciality is Tumbling. I currently train over 8 hrs per week.
I have been Tumbling for 5 Years. Starting out in The NDP (National Development Programme).
NDP South West Champion 2 Years running 2014 & 2015
NDP Great Britain Championship Bronze medalist 2015.
I then progressed to the Elite FIG Level ( Federation of International Gymnastics)
FIG Southwest Champion 2016.
FIG Great Britain Championship Bronze Medalist 2016.
FIG Spring Series Gold Medalist Nottingham 2017.
2017 FIG Great British Championships to be held in Liverpool this September.
Subsequently I have been selected for the Team GB Elite Tumbling Squad located at Lilleshall National Sports Centre near Telford, Shropshire.
This year I will be representing Great Britain in the FIG 11-12yrs mens catagory this July in Santarem, Portugal at the Scalabis Cup.
I am also part of the selection process for the FIG Tumbling World Championships being held this November in Sofia, Bulgaria.
I am really excited and looking forward to the busy year ahead. Being selected for Team GB is my proudest moment so far.....
At this age group GB Tumbling is self funded so I am looking for Sponsorship to help me achieve all I can in this sport I love. The trip for Bulgaria alone will cost £2500 so any help to get me there would be amazing.
