Story
Last year, I lost a close friend at the age of just 23 to a long term addiction to alcohol and drugs. To see someone close to me die so young was devastating, and I wanted to raise awareness to those out there fighting addiction. There is a solid difference between choice and addiction, and to fall into addiction, that could happen to anyone. Therefore, I would like to raise awareness to those fighting it in any shape or form, as they face a battle with themselves everyday in order to look after themselves. I will be running 5k in Verulamium Park, St Albans, Hertfordshire on Sunday 10th June for this.
