Story
The University of Birmingham - Bengali Society students have come together to raise money in order to build a large water well for the Rohingya community.
The Rohingya are one of the world's most persecuted and neglected communities. They are currently facing genocide in Burma and desperately need our support.
We want to raise £1,000 to build a large water well in one of the Rohingya camps in the Bangladesh Burma border so thousands of the Rohingya community can have have access to clean, uncontaminated water for drinking, bathing and washing clothes.
Our charity of choice is RestlessBeings - one of the spearheading voices for the Rohingya community on an international scale. For their survival, they are forced to drink contaminated water and often become ill, therefore having clean water can eliminate many causes of diseases.
Providing a water well is a good way of Sadaqah Jariyah (continuous charity) as you can expect to reap Allah's blessings for as long as the well supplies water.
The more we raise together, the more we can donate to those in need. No amount is too little.
Funds raised will be donated to Restless Beings (UK Registered Charity (1135134)
Please share with family and friends. The reward for a good deed, is multiplied.
In’sha’allah, together we can reach our target and support thousands of Rohingya community survive another day.
Love and Light.
