We are climbing Ben Nevis on the 25th of August to raise money for the Lewis and Harris Cats Protection and Dog Rescue: Cyprus.

We have recently adopted our Reuben from Cyprus after the dog rescue saved him from a life fending for himself in a quarry. He was in a bad condition and they healed him and let us take him to the Isle of Lewis to his forever home. After recently losing our own dog, the addition of Reuben has been a blessing. The team in Cyprus work tirelessly to save these dogs and we would love to give something back to give them our thanks and help make their work a tiny bit easier.

Similarly, the local cats protection branch work around the clock and receive very little funding. They rely on the help from volunteers and donations from the public to keep saving and caring for the cats of the Island.  As animal lovers, we want to help both at home and away and say thank you.

Ben Nevis stands at 1345m and is the highest mountain in the British Isles. We are climbing it as a mum and daughter power team of 4. It will be: Eilidh Thompson, Alanna McCuaig, Carissa McCuaig, and Bethany MacLeod. We are busy training away and are hoping to reach our target to give both charities £250 each.
