Story

As the youth football team we make great use of the Bere Alston recreational field-we have over 30 children plus their supporters on training days and regulary over 60 children and supporters on match days. The field is often used for sports, dog walking, the play park, bike ramp and those enjoying this beautiful open space daily, horse riders, walkers, cyclists, runners often use the lanes around the field, we have a night landing light for the air ambulance. We are lucky to have this facility in our village!!!....Yet the closest defibrillator known to most is down by the parish hall. Having a defib at the recreational field could save precious minutes in a emergancy. As the youth football team we are able to donate a small amount of money weve already

raised towards a defib but would like to be able to offer more-or smash the total and buy it fully!

Every minute without CPR and defibrillation reduces a victim’s survival rate by 7 to 10 per cent
