Hey guys,

So sadly my completely amazing, beautiful and very smiley retriever Ivy needs your help!

The last few months Ivy has really been struggling to get up and go on walks. After taking her to the vets several times, she was diagnosed with cruciate ligament disease. This disease is a very debilitating knee injury which occurs in some dogs. Essentially, this injury means that the cruciate ligaments, responsible for stabilising the knee joints within Ivy's hind legs have ruptured. As a result of this, Ivy really struggles to put weight on her back legs and is in a significant amount of pain.

FORTUNATELY there is a way to help Ivy!!!!!! The vets have said that if she was to undergo surgery, referred to as a 'Wedge Osteotemy', she would be back to herself in no time! This surgery would relieve the pressure on Ivy's knee joints, meaning that she can return to her pain free, happy active self :)

Now obviously this is the ultimate goal, we would absolutely love for Ivy to have this surgery!!!

....However, it is rather expensive and insurance are not able to cover it.
Therefore I am creating this page because I love this dog more than life itself and I would really appreciate your guys help in whatever donation you can give!!
