Story
Every year an area the size of Spain is lost to deforestation in the Amazon. Twenty five per cent of children in Ecuador have no access to education.
In 2019 I have the opportunity to visit Ecuador and the Galapagos Islands to take part in a reforestation scheme and to learn about essential conservation plans for the area. In addition to planting trees and other ecological initiatives, I will be teaching English to local children and helping to build classrooms within the community. Helping with such vital social, and environmental projects will not only be educational but a once in a lifetime opportunity for me.
The overall cost of this four week expedition is £4960. I will be doing various fundraising events and jobs in my local area to help raise this amount. If anybody would like to donate to help me get to Ecuador, well, that would be amazing!
