At Broadclyst Football Club we decided we would like to help those that can't afford to play the great game. After discussion it was decided that we would donate our previous seasons kits to deprived area's in Kwazulu Natal, South Africa. But why Kwazulu we hear you cry, well our Chairman, Tarrot Greenaway, grew up in Durban, South Africa and witnessed first hand the poverty surrounding the City and the area beyond, and whilst at school volunteered with Durban Youth Council. He recently reconnected with Durban Youth Council and asked them if they could distribute our old kits to clubs (and children) that can't afford kits of their own. They agreed and so our kits from seasons past (that still have a lot of wear in them) will be winging there way to Durban so that poverty stricken clubs can play in their own colours.

We decided that we'd like to do more, and also invite the parents and friends of the clubs to also help us make a difference... so we came up the our 'Call for balls' campaign. With the money we raise from this Just Giving page we will be investing in footballs, so that they to can go with our kits to South Africa and also be distributed to the poverty hit clubs that have no choice but to play with old, beaten up footballs.

We would also like to thank DHL & JHP Recruitment as they have agreed between them to foot the bill for delivering our kits and the new footballs halfway around the world to South Africa.

Finally also thank you to all that do donate to this, we would like to raise £250 however if we raise more, it means even more balls for the poverty stricken kids of South Africa...
