Story
Following the wonderful response to last year’s Remembrance Day service, Ivybridge town Council and the Royal British Legion have decide to once again hold the memorial in the Erme court Car Park but this year we will hold a formal wreath laying ceremony at the memorial at the top of Fore street and all will be able to witness it on the Big screen. Yes as last year we intend to hire a large video screen and camera and need your support to achieve this, so please help us Crowd Fund the cost. Although we have already received some pledges, we still need to find approximately £2000 from the community to support this.
We have learned from last year and will make better provision for spectators and will allow personnel to lay their wreath themselves, as part of the service.
Let us enjoy our wonderful parade in an open and comfortable setting, where we can watch, listen, and see our Veterans, Servicemen, Cadets, Scouts, Guides, and School Children march with pride and lay wreaths at the Memorial and say ‘Thank you’ once again. We would like to extend that invite to any group wishing to march especially our wonderful sports clubs such as the Rugby, Football, Cricket, and Tennis clubs of Ivybridge.
