St Francis School in Lincoln cater for the educational and therapeutic needs of around 120 young children. They depend entirely on charitable donations, and my family has been the benefactor of their immense support care and services for nearly fifteen years.
I want to pay back some small part of this debt, and in a meaningful way, to provide a legacy for the direct benefit of the students and staff.
The school desperately needs to replace a minibus, which has given many years of faithful service, but is starting to feel it's age.... and don't we all...??!
To help finance the purchase and maintenance of a replacement, I'm looking for sponsorship to travel to Iceland in spring of next year, and circumnavigate the island on a motorbike, in less than five days.
I'm going to finance the trip myself, but am asking for friends and fellow Facebook associates to make a small donation, all of which will go direct to the school.
I won't deny this isn't a personal odyssey as well, and a chance to travel around the spiritual homeland......but it is a real opportunity to repay a debt of honour I owe Mrs Hoffman -Headteacher, and all the staff and children at this wonderful school....
