Weʼve raised £1,840 to Help Dr Bill and family during this difficult time with Motor Neurone Disease.

    Story

    Dear Friends and Colleagues,

Unfortunately I have recently been diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease (MND), which is a terminal condition. It is progressively affecting my ability to walk and talk.

As you can imagine this is devastating news for me and my wonderful wife and daughter. Professionally it’s disappointing, as I love speaking and working with colleagues in workshops - this has been my main source of income for over 25 years.

With your support, this fund will help me to keep going as long as I can and provide support for my family during this difficult time.

I want to continue the work I can do for as long as possible, to share the valuable behavioural techniques I have developed throughout my career. I will continue to provide my Safety Briefings, write-up the white papers I already have planned, contribute to behavioural accident investigations and the improvement of safety documentation (procedures and policies). I will now distribute complimentary material on my LinkedIn Profile, starting with a copy of my MSc research on human factors, and past Safety Briefings.

Thank you so much for your support during this difficult time.

    Dr Bill

Dear Friends, Strange how it takes a serious illness to realise what really is important in life. Yes, getting a degree, writing some books and working at what you love is fine. But what really matters is family and friends. Realising time is short makes those relationships and time together more precious. My suggestions is from today to make more conscious effort to be in touch and do things together. All the best, Bill
