Billy's Story

In October 2018, I will be travelling to Uzbekistan for two weeks as part of a World Challenge project. In rural areas of Uzbekistan infrastructure can be very basic, with water being fetched from miles away. I will be part of a project working in partnership with local communities in the Nuratau Mountains to help connect villages to a constant, clean and potable water supply. Another aspect of the project is renovating health centres, classrooms and village centres, this will also be carried out with the help of the local community as they love to get involved and take ownership of all parts of the work undertaken.
