So 2 and a half years ago my life got turned upside down.... at that time i thought it was going to be for the worst, today i see it was the best thing to happen in my life. My 4 year old son Billy was diagnosed with Autism & 6 months ago he was diagnosed with GDD (global developmental delay).

My little man loves to go to the park and on the swings. He gains so much sensory input from it that we go very regular. Around a year ago our local councillors and community group #youthtogether did an absolutely amazing job at getting our small village of selston a new park.....what a fab thing to do. For my family theres just one thing thats missing that massively affects us and billy most of all, a disabled swing! My Billy is 4 years old but the size of a 6 year old so the small swings on the park are just to small for him, his feet drag on floor which then cause huge meltdowns! The big swing is just to big for him and unsafe as there are no straps to hold him in! Within our huge parish there are 12 parks and not one have an inclusive swing :(

So over the last few weeks iv been in contact with the local councillors and the selston youth together group to try and get a disabled swing on our local park for not only billy to use safely but other children in the area with disablities.

With all their help were trying to raise the funds to pay for the inclusive swing. The total for the swing will be near on £2250!!! so please if anyone can help and donate towards a safer swing for my boo. Id be forever grateful!! ❤️ My boy is completely non verbal but im sure one day he may be able to thank you all him self! 😘😘😘😘
