Claire and Jude are running for Blooming Whiteway, a community gardening group they founded and ran in 2017 to host Blooming Whiteway Front Garden Festival.

Over the course of 2017, Blooming Whiteway grew into so much more than a Front Garden Festival, with loads of free events and activities that got people growing!

We worked with children, grown ups, led walks, set up free plant stands and converted wellies into planters. We told the story of Southdown’s teasel growing past and worked with over 200 school children. We collaborated with Bath City Farm, Avon Wildlife Trust and arts organisations. Plus nearly 30 residents entered our Blooming Whiteway Front Garden Festival - making a space for nature at the front of their homes all over the estate.

For Blooming Whiteway 2018, we’ll be building on this success by encouraging more residents to join in and share their front gardens, plus we have some exciting new projects and events for residents of Whiteway and the city at large!

Blooming Whiteway is run on a voluntary basis with donated resources and lots of lovely people’s time and enthusiasm.

Please help us raise some money to help us deliver this project to our best ability.

Every little literally helps - it means we can buy compost & plants and print flyers and award prizes.

It helps us sow the seeds of this great community gardening project.
