Story
Blue Gems Majorettes is a community based dance team based in Heckmondwike. Starting 30 years ago we now have over 50 dancers ranging in age from 3 to 36. We train 3 nights a week working on a team dance routine with both baton and Pompoms of which we then take to competitions throughout the season, including the Universal championships in Bridlington Spa. We are contsantly fundraising through the means of raffles, tombolas and bag-packs in our locaol supermarkets, all of which goes towards new uniforms and equipment/.

We aim to ensure that we can raise enough funds to enable us to carry on doing what we do! by raising money we can afford to pay rent on the hall in which the 58 girls train every week, can kit each girl out with a uniform and have equipment such as stereos, pompoms and batons.
