Assalamu alaykum warahmatullahi Taala Wa barakatuhu!

We hope you are in great health and iman. The members of the Muslim Community of Blue Homes is located in Barangay Pasonanca, north of the City. Alhamdulillah, Islam predominates in our little community and is widely practiced. The current space of the mosque is large enough for daily congregational prayers but during Ramadan and Eid most people pray outside on the ground.

The masjid needs help overcoming the initial financial barrier in expanding the space for a larger jamaa and a planned Islamic school (madrasa) for children that will cater subjects such as Tarbiyyah, Arabic language, Fiqh, Quran and many more.

The masjid is the heart of any Muslim community. Providing much more than a place of worship. This masjid will offer education and a base from which essential community services are delivered. Building a Masjid will increase education for young Muslim children; encourage young men and women to become involved. It will foster brotherhood/sisterhood, promote daw’ah, increase collaboration between the various Muslim communities.

The first and foremost duty performed by the Messenger of Allah (pbuh) entering Madinah was to build a Masjid. He said,

“Whosoever builds a house (masjid) for the sake of Allah, whether it be small or large, Allah builds for him a house in Paradise.”– At-Tirmidhi, Ibn Khuzaymah, Ibn Hibban.

As privileged Muslims, we know how wonderful it is to be able to go to the masjid regularly, and with your help the masjid will have the following facilities:
¥ Additional prayer space: sufficient to cater place for daily and congregational prayers
¥ Classrooms: offering Islamic lessons and working on community development projects
¥ Library: youth can cultivate knowledge about Islam through reading material and digital resources.
