Crossways provides a professional and confidential counselling service in its local area. Counselling is offered to all, regardless of background, gender, sexual orientation, religious or ethnic origin, and can offer help to individuals experiencing a variety of difficulties such as: stress, depression, anxiety or confusion, redundancy retirement or work related issues, relationship or family difficulties, bereavement or loss, abuse, sexual orientation and gender identity issues.

Crossways is a registered charity and does not make a fixed charge for counselling sessions – clients are invited to contribute on a sliding scale of ability to pay: no-one is denied counselling through lack of money.

My wife Anne and I are running in the London Marathon on the 22nd April 2018 and would like to use the opportunity to raise funds for this wonderful charity.

Raising awareness for people who are suffering with mental health difficulties is something that is extremely important to our family. We have devastatingly lost family members much too soon. Due to more awareness, we are all becoming better able to understand this illness and support those who need us the most. But unfortunately, this is not always enough. Help is often needed from counsellors who are trained in working through each individuals situation and help them to gain new insights, which may empower them to respond differently to their problems and difficulties. This can help to save lives!

Although counsellors offer their services voluntarily to Crossways, rent, travel, professional and administrative support, and other essential overheads means that each consultation costs Crossways £45. £10 covers a weeks telephone calls.

Every gift Crossways receives helps to keep its doors open and continue to provide that crucial support to people who are experiencing difficulties.
