Thank you for taking time to read our story!!! We are a group of parents for local football team Beeston Park Rangers and this year we've chosen Ben Nevis as our 2018 fundraising Challenge - heading there in June with nothing but the summit in sight!!!

This year we thought hard about which local community projects to support... and decided on the following...

Our 1st cause is  HERO7 (helping everyone remember Owen) - set up to support children who may not be able to afford to partake in physical activities and other sporting groups who may need financial support. It will also support OWEN (Open Water Education Network)  This is the programme that will be taken into schools to educate children about the hidden dangers of open water. Both are set up in memory of local boy Owen Jenkins who lost his life last year when helping others.. he was only 12 years of age. We feel proud and privilaged to be able to make a small contribution to such a special and worthy project.

Our 2nd project is based at Sunnyside Academy in Chilwell. They are fundraising for a new project called the SHINE garden... a place where Children both at the school and the community will be actively involved in creating an outdoor classroom area. Our fundraising will help supply much needed materials and equipment to help get the project started. It will also involve other local schools, providing great opportunities for children to meet new people and make new friends.

And last but no means least BPR Under 11s.... our boys!!!  Always needing new equipment and kits as they keep growing in to wonderful little footballers and fabulous young men!!! This season they finished runners up.in their league and won the YEFL cup making it out most successful season yet!!! We are so proud of them and want them to be proud of us too!!!
