Weʼre raising £2,500 to Take Break Barriers Wales to Charity status, enabling us to open more doors and reach our full potential.

Crowdfunding is a new type of fundraising where you can raise funds for your own personal cause, even if you're not a registered charity.
The page owner is responsible for the distribution of funds raised.
A few years ago the Government pulled the funding on Remploy, leaving some of the most vulnerable people in our society with no opportunity or equality.
Break Barriers Wales has set up with the aim to bridge the gap, we strive to help anybody 16 and above with a mental or physical disability to get into employment.
We run courses and workshops, alongside working with employers from different sectors to draw out someone's natural strengths and place them in a role accordingly.
We aim to raise £2,500 through JustGiving and another £2,500 through our door to door campaign to take Break Barriers Wales to charity status, which would enable us to receive more help and support to ensure opportunity and equality for those with disabilities.
Illness is neither an indulgence for which people have to pay, nor an offence for which they should be penalised, but a misfortune, the cost of which should be shared by the community.

About the fundraiser
Cardiff, United Kingdom
I have been with Break Barriers from the start, I know what it's like to have help and support from a government funded programme and then have that support taken away. I left school at 14 due to having additional needs, fortunately I was helped.. but that service is now gone.
* JustGiving crowdfunders pay a small fee for our service. Find out how much it is and what we do for it.
