I want to try and raise as much cash as possible to help in the care, rehabilitation and rehoming of those animals that have been unwanted or mistreated in life and give them the quality of life that they deserve; from cats and dogs that are bought on a whim for Christmas and then discarded, to ex-racing greyhounds that are no longer useful once past their shelf life, to those that have lost their owners and are too old to be wanted and just need a home to live out their remaining years in peace with a loving owner. We have a lurcher called Nina who we adopted several years ago, who had been locked in a shed and mistreated for the first 18 months of her life. Without a organisation such as Almost Home Animal Rescue NI she wouldn't be enjoying the life she currently has. Every animal deserves a happy life, and not suffering from pain or fear, or wondering when and where their next meal is coming from.
