Sadly, due to the current situation with COVID-19, for your safety, as well as the wider community, and the welfare of our team (all of us with jobs that we simply cannot carry out from home!), we have had to make the very difficult decision to remain closed until this changes, despite the financial problems this will cause us. As a not-for profit organisation, receiving NO outside funding, we completely rely on funds raised from your visits and kind donations. Our closed period during the winter is a particularly tough time for us financially without the funds that you help to raise by visiting, and with costs continuing to rise we look forward to spring knowing that this will improve.

As our hard working team continues to care for our many rescued animals, remaining closed will have an enormous impact on our funds, with it currently costing just under £3000 per week to look after the animals. This includes food, bedding, enrichment, medicines/veterinary bills, and utilities such as water rates/electricity, as well as rent paid to the council for the use of the site. These costs add up very fast!

We have never been in this position before and must admit that we are concerned for our future. We are so grateful to all of our amazing supporters for aiding our important work here so far, and hope that you will continue to do so now when we need you more than ever before.
