I'm raising £750 to Raise funds for Atlantic House Recovery Centre

Story

On 3rd May 2025, I’ll be running my first ever half marathon – the AJ Bell Great Birmingham Half.

I’m running to raise money for a cause I’m passionate about which is Atlantic House Recovery Centre in Lye, Dudley.

Atlantic House provides free, life-changing support to people affected by addiction, alcohol and substance misuse. Addiction is a huge and often hidden issue in society, with more people than ever suffering quietly. It’s still widely misunderstood and carries a heavy stigma.

Having seen first-hand the impact that support like this can have, I know how important services like Atlantic House truly are.

The work Atlantic House does is incredible. They help vulnerable people rebuild their lives and move towards freedom from addiction. They offer therapy, clinical support, dedicated recovery coordinators, as well as wider social care – supporting things like homelessness, the justice system, and helping people get back into employment.

From group sessions and one-to-one support, to yoga, acupuncture, and even providing smart clothing for job interviews, they go above and beyond to support people in a genuinely caring, judgement-free environment.

Once the fundraiser closes, I’ll be donating all funds raised directly to Atlantic House so that local people can benefit from these vital services.

Any support, big or small, would mean a lot.

And if nothing else… pls wish me luck getting round 21km of hilly Birmingham 😅
