The Sumatran orangutang are a critically endangered species as they are being ruthlessly hunted for palm oil even where the law does not allow it. The beautiful forests and jungles which they inhabit are also being wiped out. With the funds we raise, we will be working with the Sumatran Orangutang Conservation Program to conserve the orangutang and the forests which they inhabit. Our team consists of mostly teenagers/young adults, ranging from ages 14 to 17, so this charity work will also provide many great life lessons and chance for personal growth.
