My name is Craig Dart and I am one of the staff members from Witherslack Group (Oversands School) who are doing a bike ride in July round the lakes 200miles in two days to help raise money for Butterfly Hugs.

Butterfly Hugs is a local charity formed to raise money for young families affected by life limiting and terminal illness in the South Lakeland and Furness area. We are dedicted to supporting local families in their hour of need either financially or provide support in the form of meet ups and connecting families. Butterfly Hugs has been formed as a charity that wil be a legacy of Connie and Joe Elson who suffer the rare condition MLD. Connie and Joe have drawn our attention to rare illnesses and the lack of support in our area of the country.

We are in the process of setting up a charity Just Giving page but are concerned that we won't get the paper work sorted in time so are using a temporary crowd funding page.
