Back in 2019, to celebrate the Yorkshire Cricket Foundation‘s 10th year as a charity they aimed to do 10 events, such as a pizza run, 11 hour cricket match, and a Wing Walk.

I'm doing my bit and helping out by doing the Wing Walk, meaning I'll be stood on the wings of a biplane while its flying at speeds of over 130mph!!! Due to faults with the plane in 2019, and the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, the Wing Walk kept getting pushed back and back. But this year it's finally happening!

If you fancy encouraging me with this mental idea, then please donate! The YCF do so much within the Yorkshire community, ranging from hosting a "Couch to 5K" run every week to helping under-privileged children gain vital life skills. They've also set up a post-16 college offering the chance to study a BTEC while playing cricket at Headingley every day. My brother chose this route and after passing his BTEC, is now studying for a Sports Physio Degree at Leeds Beckett Uni, showing me first-hand the amazing impact the YCF has.
