    Story

On Saturday 17th March, CCCU Climbing Clubwill be attempting to climb the combined height of the Three Peaks challenge - 11,000ft! We are raising money to buy sleeping bags for the homeless as part of St Paul's '40 bags in 40 nights' charity event.

After our calculations, this equates to about 367 climbs, which across the 7 routes would be a total of 53 sets. You are invited to come along and climb with us as the more people that can help us share the climb, the better! No experience or equipment needed, just rock up and do what you can, every foot up the wall will help. If you want to climb, please come dressed in either sports gear and trainers or sensible comfortable clothes that allow for ease of movement.

The event will be held at Christ Church Sports Centre, Pilgrims Way, Canterbury CT1 1XS from 6:15pm-7:15pm. Or if you're not a fan of heights then you're welcome to watch as well. We will be holding a small bake sale at the centre on the saturday to raise some extra pennies.

St Paul's are working with Catching Lives and Go Outdoors to provide some of Canterbury's homeless with sleeping bags which are crucial at this time of year, especially with the cold spell we're experiencing currently.

This should not be necessary, no one should be homeless.
