St Francesca Cabrini School is raising money to build a traversing wall in the playground.

The traversing wall is a part of our Sensory Integration intervention. Sensory Integration is crucial in preparing children for learning. It cultivates calmness and focus in pupils which enables them to unlock their learning potential. We currently have a sensory circuit in the morning called, Switch On!. It is our goal to deliver similar high quality Sensory Integration experiences, like Switch On!, to as many students as possible. That is why it is essential we raise money for a traversing wall and further encourage the Education of the Heart.

This learning adventure will not only benefit pupils but also the community, as we are pulling together to support our children’s future. The event symbolises our unity and how great feats can be achieved when we work together.

To raise money the school is going to hold a series of fundraising events. The signature event will be SKIPATHON! Monday 10th July, 09:30-15:30, and it will involve all students and staff. SKIPATHON! highlights the importance of pursuing a dream/goal (building a traversing wall) and thinking creatively to achieve this objective (fundraising events such as SKIPATHON!). I am sure you can see the value of this teaching, especially in terms of problem solving, creativity and entrepreneurship.

As you can imagine, SKIPATHON! will be a challenging event and the children need your support.
