For those of you that don’t know Calvin, he’s just a young man that a few months ago decided to follow his lifelong dreams of going traveling.

He started of in Thailand, then went on his travels exploring different parts of southeast Asia. Calvin’s final destination before he was planning on coming home was Cambodia.

On Friday 4th May, early hours BST, Calvin was found in his room unconcious and starving of oxygen, Not knowing exactly why/how he was then rushed 3 hours to the best hospital able to help him, everyone was uncertain what had happened and were worried sick.

After days of diagnosis Calvin’s family was informed he has severe sepsis, a deadly infection which causes the organs to shut down, also developed pneumonia, and were unaware of how he has developed all of this.

Calvin’s family were told 9/10 people die from this if not treated early enough, and Calvin’s body was not showing any response to treatment.

Last Thursday 17th May, after 2 weeks of being in a coma and unresponsive on life support, Calvin defied the odds and woke, this was a huge step for Calvin and some positive news for all friends and family during a heartbreaking time.

Calvin is still critically ill and has a long way to go.

This is where we all come in, united as one to help and support Calvin and his family.

As a close family friend, please if you can only afford a few pounds it will help and go towards helping Calvin’s family to continue to be by his side, out in a poor country where there are limited resources. It’s costing thousands of pounds for flights and accommodation for them to be there by his side and help him on his road to recovery.
