Namibia is a vast and impressive country located on Africa’s south west coast where the scorched deserts that cover the country meet in dramatic style with the ice-cold waters of the Atlantic Ocean. June, July and August is winter in Namibia which means warm and sunny days and cold nights. In order to acclimatise I will embark on a three day, two night trek which encompasses some of Namibia’s most dramatic natural features.

I will be going into schools helping with teaching or getting involved in after school sports and clubs. Another exciting and worthwhile experience could include conservation and environmental work within Namibia’s national parks and game reserves and helping to maintain and build homes.

I am looking forward to being a part of something that will make a difference to those these fortunate at the same time teach me to appreciate and be humble.
