Weʼre raising £20,000 to Help the displaced people of Cameroon living in the forest with children and those in Nigerian refugee camps with sanitation and food
- Watford, UK
Crowdfunding is a new type of fundraising where you can raise funds for your own personal cause, even if you're not a registered charity.
The page owner is responsible for the distribution of funds raised.
I want to raise funds to help these displaced women and children living in the forest and in refugee camps in Nigeria. Currently, at least 43,000 refugees from southern Cameroon have crossed the boarder with hopes of straying from danger.
The Cameroon Civil war has rendered thousands of people mainly women and children homeless. Pregnant women giving birth in the Forest, with no sanitation, hygiene or nutrition. They live in thatched huts built with leaves, new born babies exposed to mosquitos and rain. Those in refugee camps are exposed to disease from poor sanitation 1 toilet is used by 150 people, girls use leaves as sanitary towels. They have no food, no health and no hope.
Many people are suffering and need help but cannot ask for it. Don't you think its fair to help those who cannot help themselves? I have started this crowdfunding page because i am lucky enough to be in the position i am in and lucky enough to have the staples of life such as health education and food that others don't. These refugees don't deserve to live in their current situation.
Funds raised will help buy tents for those in the forest, buy sanitary towels to all girls and females. For those in refugee camps, help buy and supply more toilets, food and sanitary towels. Every little amount will help me get closer to my goal and in turn, help the Cameroonian refugees.
I deeply appreciate any donations, Thankyou.
